Privacy policy
kmcost was built to be simple, offline-first, and transparent. This page explains what data is handled, why it is used, and how you can request account deletion.
1. What we collect
- Data you create in the app: vehicles, fuel entries, maintenance entries, reminders, and settings.
- Account data (when you enable Pro): email and user identifier for authentication and sync.
- Subscription data: subscription status and purchase events handled by Apple, Google, and RevenueCat.
2. How we use data
- To calculate cost per distance and show your history.
- To provide backup and sync when you enable Pro.
- To support you when you contact us.
3. Where data is stored
If you use the app without an account, data stays only on your device. If you create a Pro account and enable sync, your data is sent to our servers (Supabase) for backup and synchronization between devices.
4. Sharing
We do not sell your data. We only share with essential providers required to operate the app:
- Supabase: authentication and database for sync.
- Apple, Google, and RevenueCat: subscription processing and status.
5. Notifications
Reminders are sent as local notifications on your device. We do not use server-side push notifications in the MVP.
6. Security
We use HTTPS connections and access controls to protect cloud data. Even so, no system is 100% secure.
7. Your rights
You can request access, correction, or deletion of data linked to your account. To do that, contact us using the email below.
